In the Native American traditions, when someone has finished their purpose on this earth, it is time to leave. The decision is made, and they go away to be by themselves and within a very short period of time, they leave their physical body. They do not believe you have to be sick or in the dying process. Often, they are old and have fulfilled what they came to accomplish. So, it was with Saber.
Saber had called the sanctuary home for quite a while. The cats that come to live at the sanctuary have such great love and care that often they grow old, much older than they would if they were in the wild. Saber spent many years in the entertainment field and his body was getting tired. Even though his spirit was strong, he knew it was time to leave.
As we say goodbye to a dear spirit, he wants us to know that he is across the rainbow bridge guiding and helping us in ways he couldn't when he was in physical form. He is giving us the strength and courage to keep moving forward and speaking out for those spirits that long to be free. He will still be performing great acts as a tiger angel. Thank you Saber for sharing your life with us. You will be missed!
